IMPORTANT: This is BY NO MEANS an indication that Athion will be adding another free world - I'd simply like some feedback and poll numbers to see if there is COMMUNITY interest in having (perhaps a more attainable) free world.
Would this be a public world, so even people from student can build in it? Or would it be like TG5 is at the moment, which requires a certain rank to build inside of?
I think open world is great because then what you build can be a part of the world as a whole. There is more than what you build alone.
What I would love to see (but would be highly implausible for the way the server is now run) is the ability for all ranks above Student to have an open world. I appreciated how Pwego-Insom worked in that you started out in a plot in the very beginning and then were able to access an open world. Having actual terrain is a sort of inspiration for me, seeing 'ooh, what can I do with this land formation?' instead of just having a blank slate where I have to decide, 'ok, how am I going to terraform this?' Being forced to do terraforming is completely unlike playing survival Minecraft. Normally, you have to build with the landscape, or spend forever flattening a huge area (yeah, I would rather get straight to building too, building with the land). TL;DR Terraforming sucks, I want to build with actual terrain. That's my two cents.
Not really needed or, like you said, possible. PI didn't use this and the open world worked without having 7+ worlds.
If we ever do have a new open world would be under freebuild server an only have member rank, maybe 1 other but as we have not made any choices yet this is purely to see how many are interested and no indication if it will happen.

As a Grand Creator, I must say, Im seriously freaking lonely in TG5. I really miss building with others in open lands. If this could be possible, I think most of the community would appreciate it.
Id only say this, if it is made and designers can acces it id frikkin work harder, untill im frikkin halfway dead!

If it does not roll, then it's out of my control and I've done all I can. - Syc makes it sound like this idea (another open world) has already been considered and if (IF IF IF) it were to be implemented, it would make more sense being part of Free Build and not being tied to your Training Grounds rank.
IF this were implemented (hypothetical, of course!), I would much rather go with the TG worlds than Freebuild, if the choice was given. Or both, in an ideal situation! Terrain is something, in my opinion, that helps you gain inspiration to build and the excitement of finding new land is an awesome feeling. Having this implemented would definitely increase creativity and motivation!
if (IF IF IF) this were to happen, would we be able to get back to working on our old builds that you collected the schematics for from Pwego/Mith?? Why collect all those schematics for Athion if we are unable to work on them on Athion?
I have absolutely no control over schematics but in my understanding this seems like a totally reasonable request.
