PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING! THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME! The community mumbles and groans. We demand satisfaction, a rush of joy and pleasure that we falsely believe cannot be obtained elsewhere. Our minds subconsciously understand that a waste of time, in any form, is usually undesirable. In some sense, waiting for something to occur is detrimental for our survival. We wait for danger to pass, for the hyenas to trot past the long and waving grasses. We wait for the right opportunity, for the perfect moment, when we would dash, bound only by the limits of our feline legs, giving chase to nimble impala and gazelle. But as a developed society, we refuse to wait. The world constantly screams at us. Each aspect of everything wants to be noticed. Our attention spans have turned to nil. Our patience is wears thin. The very prospect of typing in a password can be viewed as cumbersome and inconvenient, even though a password stands as a proud sentinel of bronze, defying those that demand entry. We believe that "Athion is love, Athion is life." Athion in itself is nothing more than streams of 1's and 0's, electrons bouncing around in copper and silicon circuitry, working in their strange particle-wave duality. A manipulation of the uncertain to bring us the near certain. Athion is nothing more than the whirring of fans that work tirelessly to dissipate heat. Nothing more than a rectangle that emits a seemingly endless stream of visible light photons. A screen that beckons to us despite false claims that screens release X-rays that cause eye and brain cancers. But in reality, it isn't really "Athion" we seek. It is the intimate relationship we have with other human beings we seek. The beautiful two dimensional symbols that have more power than the blade. Words that can arouse emotion, such as rage, or humor. Words that can topple nations, revolutionize the way we think, and change our life philosophy forever. It is the interactions with other minds that we savor. Minds that have undergone many of the same struggles and toils as our own minds. Minds that may seem similar to us, but bring about great diversity to our otherwise bigot-like points of view. It is interaction between the well informed and intelligent, rather than the naive and immature, that brings about great complexity in our lives. A complexity that many of us admire. It isn't really "Athion" we seek. Rather, we seek out an opportunity to let our minds spill over. Athion is our chance to let the brimming honey of our minds be projected into a virtual world of cubes. It is an opportunity to convey imagination; something that current day machinery is probably incapable of doing. And look at how we have treated the administration. We bother them with ideas of excitement, of dissatisfaction at their tardiness. Had this project been delayed for weeks or months, we would have some right to complain. A right to complain about the lost promise whisked away from us. But the owners have viewed Athion to be beautiful. The owners want us to feel joy and happiness. They are creating a beautiful catalyst for our interactions. A beautiful foundation for relationships. A chance for love to flourish. A chance for us to experience life in a new flavor. Masterpieces are not rushed. The more shallow motivation may be money, fame, or popularity. Those that are moved on by those prospects alone when in a social class of comfort can be spotted immediately by their lack of enthusiasm, or their indifference to minor server errors. But those that truly believe that this server will be truly meaningful will work with blood, sweat, and tears. They will work day and night on this project. The idea of perfecting Athion will never evade their minds, never betray their memory. The Wright Brothers worked day and night, developing flight, fueling their project with the little they made from their bicycle shop. In their hearts, they truly believed that they were making a monumental change in the world. Their motivation was not only the affluence of their families, but a revolution for all men that sought to touch the clouds and fly alongside the birds. Much unlike the thought process of Samuel Pierpont Langley. That I'll leave for you to research on your own. And again, here we are. We do not realize the significance of the administration's work, and thus do not feel remorse or regret when we pester them so. There is no wait to "endure." You are not being forced to sit in a room to wait for a Minecraft server to open. Athion is not and should not be the entirety or even the majority if your life as opposed to the precious connections you make with others. So go out there and experience something else. Don't disturb the sculptors as they chip away at fine marble to reveal their perfect statues. I am sure we would much rather have a grand statue with its stoic rock figure, but crafted to such a perfection as to bring about the illusion of a voluptuous softness, as opposed to a pile of dust and rubble. I am sure we would want a server whittled to perfection, and then remolded to our pleasures like a chameleon, as opposed to a server that behaved much like a leaf katydid; unchanging, secretive, and unaware that the chimps are now looking for leaves that move. So go out there and enjoy yourself. As aforementioned, go and experience something else. There is so much more love to life than a brutal waiting for Athion could ever supply. Why make the wait a waste of time? It doesn't have to be a wait. It could be a mere scheduled arrival, almost surprising in a sense. Make good use of your time. Be happy. Be merry. Be sad. But please, don't be so impatient. [HASHTAG]#descriptions[/HASHTAG]
Nice post, you really have a knack for writing, don't you? Anyways, I think I might know where you got Athion is love, Athion is life from (hence my signature) Tbh, this was a joke if you did get it from there.
Very true. We as humans tend to want things, and fast. We don't consider what it takes for high quality products IE : A server to be produced. I applaud your detailed representation of such actions.
Not always, but I seem to be more poetic than others. Maybe it's because I try. Perhaps if people put their minds to it, they can create great poetry. I'm sure almost everyone has an imagination! :) I understand that the "Athion is love, Athion is life," phrase was a joke. But I felt that it was a useful exaggeration that would help me transition into my next idea. Thank you for your compliment! xD I applaud the fact that you actually took the time to read my tl;dr type thread.
Well put, think I notice it's the minority bringing cause to this thread, and such is the like with things like this: they often take longer than anticipated, and you always get some people who have little patience. However, surely that little bit longer of a wait, will make joining that little bit better, your wonderful epic ideas that little bit greater, that little bit of extra time can make the world of difference, so enjoy waiting, and plan what you're going to build, or simply explore everything around you!
